SALARY: $300K+, Annual

Major investment firm is seeking a Senior VP to be responsible for forging relationships and working directly with regional commodity trading desk and department heads while managing several small development teams to maintain and build numerous front and back office applications and tools. Duties will include:

• Interact with regional commodity trading desk heads & back office department heads in relationship management, prioritization of requests, status reporting, etc.
• Manage small development teams working on application development and on third party vendor applications.
• Recruit open development vacancies based on project needs.
• Provide "hands-on" technical oversight to all aspects of the software development lifecycle to ensure high quality deliverables.
• Plan and manage resource utilization, report status, and identify, communicate and manage risks and issues to ensure timely deliveries.
• Report to senior IT Management on team progress, challenges, and key milestones.

REQUIREMENTS

• 12+ years of relevant professional experience
• Front office technology experience in an Investment Bank
• Commodities market knowledge
• Experience managing large teams of 10+
• Experience in managing relationships with senior traders and other business stakeholders
• Strong "hands-on" software development background as well as managing agile development for larger and more structured initiatives.
• Experience with standard testing and production deployment best practices a must
• Ability to coach and mentor team members
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
